Obstructed View

If someone told you that you’d fall in love with a man who was selfish, deceitful and inconsistent, what would be your response? What if they also told you that he would see other women and avoid committing to you…what would you say?

You’d probably say they were crazy. But chances are that you could be in love with a man RIGHT NOW because you refuse to see him in his entirety. Often times, women fall in love with certain things about a man while overlooking other attributes that are less desirable. Maybe, you fell in love with a man who made you laugh, although times were few and far between compared to the times he made you cry, but maybe you overlooked that because you have an amazing “connection” and he pleased you in bed and gave you just enough to keep you wanting more.

What if you paused to see the man that you love for ALL that he is rather than just the parts you want to see, you know, all the good stuff you tell your girlfriends about. Are you really in love with someone who doesn’t even call you back? Do you want a man that doesn’t want to commit to you? Is the man you want to spend the rest of your life with the same man who won’t even claim you as his girlfriend?

If you could go back in time & foresee the pain that your current relationship would cause, would you still call it Love? Knowing what you know now, would you do it again?

When it comes to love & relationships, we have to accept the BAD & the good. Sometimes we have to remove those rose-colored sunglasses to see things from a different perspective.

What are your thoughts? Have you ever been in love with someone you knew didn’t feel the same way about you? I have. And I know I’m not the only one. Leave your comments below & don’t forget to SHARE.
