Lately, it feels like the Universe has been tapping me on the shoulder like:
“Pick a side and stand on business.”
And honestly? I felt that.
Because I’ve been saying out loud—and writing in my journal—that I just want a simple, no-stress job. Something I can clock out of at 4:30, go home, breathe, and do me. A job that pays the bills, doesn’t drain me, and lets me rebuild.
And the Universe delivered exactly that.
But here’s the thing… even in the ease, even in the peace, even in the quiet?
I felt resistance.
I felt boredom.
I felt myself mentally checking out.
I felt my spirit whispering, “This ain’t it.”
And that’s when it hit me:
Was this ever really what I wanted—or was it what I thought I should want so I could avoid taking the bigger leap?
The Soft Life I Want Requires More From Me
Here’s what my journals say.
Here’s what my TikToks say.
Here’s what my soul has been screaming for years:
I want a soft life.
I want creativity.
I want freedom.
I want to travel.
I want to make money from anywhere.
I want to show my family what’s possible.
I want to break generational ceilings—not just pay my bills and survive.
I don’t want to stay small.
I don’t want to stay scared.
I don’t want to stay in lack.
So when I asked for a peaceful job and then immediately felt misaligned inside of it… that wasn’t failure.
That was clarity.
That was feedback.
That was the Universe saying,
“You’re not confused. You’re outgrowing.”
The Conversation With My Sister: Ascension vs. Elevation
My sister and I had a heart-to-heart recently.
We were talking about growth, purpose, and the uncomfortable transitions that happen when you’re going through life & leveling up.
She said something that stuck with me:
“Elevation is what people see. Ascension is what you feel.”
And whew…
That cracked something open in me.
Because right now?
I’m not elevating externally.
Nothing looks flashy or new.
I’m not traveling the world or quitting this job (yet).
I’m not living the full soft life I know is mine.
But internally?
I’m ascending.
My awareness is different.
My perspective is different.
My tolerance is different.
My desires are louder.
My soul is restless in the best way.
Ascension always happens before elevation.
The spirit shifts before the circumstances do.
The internal alignment happens before the external manifestation can show up.
So this discomfort I’m feeling?
This resistance at the job?
This unsettled energy?
It’s not sabotage.
It’s guidance.
It’s proof that I’m leveling up—even if I can’t see the receipts yet.
You’re Not Wrong for Wanting More (And You’re Not Crazy Either)
If you’re reading this and feeling the same tug—whether it’s in your career, your relationship, your environment, your purpose—here’s the truth:
You’re not wrong for wanting more.
You’re not ungrateful.
You’re not unrealistic.
Your dream is haunting you because it’s yours.
If it wasn’t reachable, you wouldn’t feel it in your energy field every day.
Desire is direction.
Your dream is the GPS ping.
Your resistance is the recalibration.
You’re not being punished.
You’re being pointed.
The Real Reason You Feel Out of Alignment
I had to be brutally honest with myself:
The only reason I’m not living my soft life yet is because I’m not an energetic match for it right now.
And that’s not shame.
That’s information.
I’m not showing up like her.
I’m not thinking like her.
I’m not making decisions like her.
I’m not being consistent like her.
But the good news?
I know what it felt like when I was closest to her—this summer.
I was journaling.
I was meditating.
I was creating content.
I was tapped in spiritually.
I was taking myself seriously.
I was letting myself dream bigger.
I was in alignment.
And alignment always attracts abundance.
How to Get Back in Alignment (Practical, Real-World Steps)
Here’s what I’m doing—and what you can do too—if you’re feeling lost, stuck, or misaligned with your dream life:
1. Get Quiet Enough to Hear Yourself Again
Turn off the noise.
Limit the opinions.
Sit with the truth you’ve been avoiding.
Your soul has been speaking—you just need space to listen.
2. Stop Pretending You Want the Safe Choice
Safety isn’t the same thing as alignment.
Comfort isn’t the same thing as purpose.
Be honest about what you really want.
3. Rebuild Your Summer Habits
Think back to when you felt the MOST you.
Recreate that energy.
Not perfectly.
Just consistently.
4. Do 1 Thing a Day That Moves You Toward Your Soft Life
Record a TikTok.
Write a blog post.
Send a pitch.
Work on your coaching hours.
Update your content plan.
Soft lives are built brick by brick.
5. Stay Out of Survival Mode Mentally
Your mind cannot manifest abundance while trapped in lack.
Shift how you speak about your life, your money, your dreams, your future.
6. Don’t Perform Confidence—Build It
You don’t have to feel ready.
You just have to feel willing.
This Is My Moment to Choose My Side
I’m finally admitting it:
This job isn’t wrong.
I’m just done shrinking to fit it.
My dream isn’t delusional.
I’m just being called to grow into it.
The Universe isn’t confusing me.
It’s confronting me.
And the message is clear:
Pick a side.
Stand on business.
Choose your soft life with your chest.
I’m ready.
