And Just Like That, there were three…
The crew is back, well, almost. Carrie Bradshaw & company are coming to a screen near you, minus one. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will don Manolo’s once again as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbs and Charlotte York for a reboot of the HBO original hit series, Sex & The City. Along with a new show premise, a new name: And Just Like That…
Although the details of the franchise are tight lipped, a statement, HBO Max confirmed the series will focus on “a new chapter” this go round, perhaps minus a familiar face or two. Actress Kim Cattrall has been quite vocal in recent years, of her desires to disassociate herself from the series. It is not yet clear if or how the show will address the absence of Samantha Jones. Some speculate that the show opens in the wake of the character’s passing due to a battle with breast cancer while others are petitioning for ther role to be recast.
We can confirm that the show is set to begin filming in spring of 2021 in New York City and that Kim Cattrall will not be a part of the series. As for Samantha, we’ll have to just wait and see.
