The Soft Life Starts When You Slow Down

There was a moment this week—quiet and simple—that stopped me in my tracks. I was out walking, just trying to get my steps in, when it hit me: I feel free.

Not “on vacation” free. Not “out with the girls” free. Not “glass-of-wine-after-a-long-day” free.
Real freedom. The kind that lives in your body. The kind that whispers, “You can slow down now.”

I didn’t expect to feel this good, this soon, after quitting my job. But something about the stillness of my mornings, the way I wake up early because I want to—not because I have to—has started to shift everything. My nervous system is no longer bracing for the next deadline or inbox ping. I don’t have to rush to eat or grab fast food out of convenience like I did when I was working. I can take my time. I can choose what I want to eat, when I want to eat it, where I want to go, and how long I want to be there eating.

And that choice? That’s the soft life.

I know I’ve been M.I.A. from the social scene but I’m pretty sure that’s normal for me. Intentionally or unintentionally, I find that I’ll drop off from.my socials for while and the truth is 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙄’𝙢 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚 and social media isn’t high on my list of priorities these days. I like social media and having a platform where people support me and enjoy my content, but on my self-healing + personal growth journey, I’m becoming clear on things that are of value to me. Having said that, I wanted to share a reminder that I hope will inspire anyone that’s feeling overwhelmed with life right now to take time for yourself to rest and reset. 🪷🧘🏾‍♀️ #reset #resetroutine #selfhealing #selfhealingjourney #mindful #selfcare #selfcareroutine

✨The Peace I Was Chasing — Was Inside of Me All Along

I used to think peace had to be earned. That rest was something I could only afford after I’d worked hard enough, proved enough, achieved enough. I believed relaxation lived on the other side of a plane ride, a beach, or a resort spa. Somewhere else.

But this week reminded me of something Abraham Hicks calls the path of least resistance—and something Danielle LaPorte speaks to in The Desire Map. The truth is, what we’re really chasing in life isn’t things, people, or destinations. It’s feelings. Core desired feelings like freedom. Softness. Fulfillment. Peace.

And what I’ve realized is…
You don’t have to “go” anywhere to feel them.
You don’t have to spend money, book a flight, or change your whole life.
You just have to start paying attention to what already feels good—and let that lead.

🌸 You Can Access Peace Right Now

Sometimes the most radical thing you can do for yourself is… slow down.
Take a walk.
Breathe deep.
Move slower on purpose.

Sometimes you don’t need a breakthrough—you just need a break.
And in that pause, you’ll notice: the birds chirping. The breeze caressing your skin. The gratitude swelling up for how far you’ve come.

You can access peace for free.
You can feel full—right now.
You don’t have to prove anything to deserve this moment.

🪞Let Life Be Easier

I didn’t realize how much I’d normalized rushing until I stopped doing it.
Now, I’m letting life flow.
I’m letting ease be enough.
I’m letting me be enough.

You’re allowed to feel free.
You’re allowed to feel good.
You’re allowed to rest in the life you’ve created—even if it’s still unfolding.

Let that be the reminder:
You don’t have to hustle to heal.
You don’t have to chase clarity.
You can choose peace. And you can start right now.
